Experts serving emerging filmmakers from the Mediterranean region

Born in Buenos Aires, Marcia Romano left Argentina for France in the late 1970s. Alongside her screenwriting studies, she gained extensive experience working on film sets and with production companies before going on to co-write numerous films with directors including Emmanuelle Bercot, François Ozon, Emmanuel Bourdieu, Éric Rochant, Xavier Giannoli, Audrey Diwan, Audrey Estrougo, Alice Winocour, Tristan Séguéla and many others. She also co-directs films with Benoît Sabatier in Marseille, including Fotogenico, which was selected for the ACID section at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Thomas Morvan is a film and television producer. In 2014, he joined Unité at its founding alongside Bruno Nahon and Caroline Nataf, where he took charge of overseeing the production of the company's projects, spanning both feature films and television series.

He has supervised the production of films and series including Fragile, Entre les vagues (Between the Waves), La Belle de Gaza (The Belle from Gaza), Rematch, as well as L'Histoire de Souleymane (The Story of Souleymane), Tapie, Tout va bien (Everything Is Fine), À voix basse (In a Low Voice), and L'Écologie des sentiments (The Ecology of Feelings).

As a producer, he has also led projects such as Salem (2023), DJ Mehdi: Made in France (2024), Les Corps électriques (The Electric Bodies) and Stups (2025), followed by Bombonera (2026). Today, Thomas Morvan continues his work as a producer, working across both documentary and fiction

Trained in Fine Arts, graphic design, and audiovisual production, she began her career working on feature films alongside directors with a wide range of creative visions. This early experience gave her a deep understanding of both the creative process and on-set filmmaking.

Over the years, she has built extensive experience as an assistant director on numerous feature films, television films, and series.

Alongside her work in production, she has developed a multifaceted career as a writer, working across screenwriting, children's publishing, and animated films. She wrote and directed the short film La Faucheuse à ma mère (Death Comes for My Mother) and is currently developing several new projects.

For several years, she has also taught at film and audiovisual schools, where she shares the fundamentals of on-set production and mentors students in the development of their projects. Her career brings together professional filmmaking, writing, and education.

Marinella Banfi, former president of Meditalents, is currently responsible for the association’s development. A French-Italian producer, she has collaborated with renowned European directors, notably producing Savage Nights by Cyril Collard (1992), Red Wood Pigeon by Nanni Moretti (1989), and Anna Oz by Éric Rochant (1996). Her experience spans executive production and the development of auteur projects in both France and Italy. She also develops writing projects and supports professionals through consulting and mentoring activities.

Thibaud Meyrand has been the director of Meditalents since 2025. After studying law in Aix-en-Provence, he turned to film production in 2022 by founding his company, Methodic Studio. Based in Marseille, he produces short films and documentaries, focusing on both local and international projects. In 2024, he joined the production collective Les Films de la Pépinière in Lussas, dedicated to the development of documentaries.

Gérald Moulédous is the treasurer of Meditalents. A former executive of an industrial company specializing in material cutting, he later turned to advising business leaders and managers. He worked across various industrial sectors before specializing in strategic consulting to help organizations adapt to economic, digital, and environmental transformations. Passionate about mathematics, cybernetics, philosophy, and nature, he promotes innovation by reassessing economic models and strategies. Since 1998, he has been advocating for more sustainable economic development and advising numerous organizations.

Adriano Valerio is the artistic director of Meditalents. An Italian filmmaker based in Paris, he won the Short Film Prize at Cannes in 2013 with 37°4S and the David di Donatello Award. His first feature film, Banat (2015), and his documentary Casablanca (2023) were both presented at the Venice Film Festival. He collaborates with various cultural and film institutions in Europe and Lebanon. He also teaches directing at the École Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière, the Scuola Holden, the International Film School of Paris, and the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts.

Thomas Andrieux is the production manager of Meditalents. Co-founder of the production company Methodic Studio in 2022, he has co-produced several short films and has held production management positions. He worked as a production manager for the documentary Mater Frioul and currently holds the same position at the Mediterranean screenwriters' residency, Meditalents.
