Meditalents Agenda: Residencies, Festivals, Open Calls

For filmmakers from the Mediterranean region, LabDoc offers a space for work and exchange to help you develop your first or second feature-length documentary project.

After two sessions earlier this year, our LabMed residents are gathering in Marseille for a final week, guided by Fabrizio Mosca and Laïla Marrakchi. This session brings their residency journey to a close, and marks the end of this year’s Meditalents Labs.

Our eight residents from the South Region are gathering in Marseille for their one and only LabSud session.We’re delighted to welcome them and look forward to starting this week of work alongside Alain Layrac and Sabrina Amara.

As part of the final session of the 6th edition of LabDoc 2025, Meditalents’ documentary screenwriting residency, a closing day is being organized in collaboration with Aix-Marseille University and the Master’s program in Creative Documentary on Friday, September 12.

The morning will feature a masterclass with Jean-Gabriel Périot, the special guest of this edition, moderated by director Adriano Valerio. This will be a unique opportunity for an in-depth exchange around the distinctive body of work of Jean-Gabriel Périot.

In the afternoon, the seven LabDoc 2025 projects will be pitched, a highlight of the residency, during which the authors will present their documentary film projects to an audience of producers, broadcasters, students, and industry professionals.

Our LabDoc residents are gathering in Marseille for their second and final session, dedicated to developing their documentaries alongside Shu Aiello and Rebecca Houzel.The residency will conclude with a final presentation day organized in partnership with Aix-Marseille University.

As summer begins, our residents gather once again for the second session of LabMed. They continue developing their fiction feature films with the guidance of Fabrizio Mosca and Claire Barré.
