You were especially numerous in applying to the next edition of LabDoc, and this year, all records were broken.
A huge thank you for your trust, your interest in Meditalents, and for the sheer volume of applications we received.Submissions came from 23 countries, with a strong representation from France, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Croatia, Spain, Montenegro, and Turkey.
With +72% applications for LabDoc and +66% for LabMed compared to last year, a very promising year of residencies lies ahead.
We look forward to discovering these projects and the worlds they bring to life. Now comes the time for reading: we are pleased to introduce the selection committees.
This year, for LabDoc, we are pleased to welcome back the same selection committee as last year, composed of Luca Mosso and Jean-Marie Nizan. We warmly thank them for their continued commitment and the time they devote to this work.

Luca Mosso is a film critic for la Repubblica and il manifesto, a lecturer at the Brera Academy and NABA, and has been the director of the Filmmaker Festival in Milan since 2011. He also works as a producer of documentaries (Ombre dal fondo, Fronte interno by Paola Piacenza) and short films (L’incanto and La stanza lucida by Chiara Caterina). He oversees the In Progress MFN program for the Milano Film Network, co-directs the Milano Industry Days, and is involved in various distribution activities.
Jean-Marie Nizan began his career in architecture before turning to the audiovisual field. After five years in an agency, he directed documentaries for Arte, Canal+ and France Télévisions, focusing on cinema, animation, music and television. He later devoted himself to documentary production at Beall Productions, where he notably produced Bye Bye Tiberiade by Lina Soualem, nominated for the César 2025 for Best Documentary Film and winner of the Alice Guy Award the same year.
