Closing of the 6th edition of LabDoc

After two sessions in Marseille, first in April, then in September 2025, our residents concluded their journey within the LabDoc residency.

We were also pleased to welcome, as guest speakers, Shu Aiello, Giulia Achilli, and Rebecca Houzel, under the artistic direction of Adriano Valerio.

The 6th edition concluded on Friday, September 12, with a final showcase day organized in partnership with Aix-Marseille University and the Master’s in Creative Documentary program. The morning was devoted to Jean-Gabriel Périot’s masterclass “Images in Conflict,” moderated by Adriano Valerio. This privileged exchange allowed the audience to explore in depth the filmmaker’s career and singular body of work.

The afternoon brought together producers, funders, students, and professionals for the pitches of the seven LabDoc 2025 projects. This highlight of the residency gave the authors an opportunity to present their films in development and engage in direct dialogue with industry stakeholders, further reinforcing LabDoc’s role as a space for exchange and professional development.
