Synopsis

Ten years apart, Lassana and Bambo each left Guinea for France. Today they share a room in the heart of Marseille. Marked by eight years spent undocumented, Lassana is finally building a future alongside his loved ones. Bambo, meanwhile, slips into irregular status and struggles to find meaning in his exile. The present of one stirs in the other the memories of yesterday. A friendship takes shape, navigating the edges of legality.

About the Author

Background

Tatiana Botovelo is a young director based in Marseille. After studying social and cultural anthropology, she specializes in cinema and enrolled in the master's program in documentary writing at Aix-Marseille University. In 2021, she met Lassana, the protagonist of her first documentary film in progress, Alias.
