About the Author

Background

Yorgos Teltzidis is a Greek screenwriter and director with a background in film and European culture. His short films have screened and won awards at major international festivals including Cannes, Tribeca, Clermont-Ferrand and AFI Fest. He has twice been nominated by the Hellenic Film Academy for Best Short Film. His debut feature as director, Ethnikos Ellinoroson, is in post-production, and his second feature screenplay, Woof, was selected for the MFI Script Lab. He also teaches directing and screenwriting in Athens and is developing the ERT series The Last Island, set to premiere in 2026.
