Sofia El Khyari, born in Casablanca in 1992, is a visual artist, director, and animator. After studying cultural management in Paris and completing a master’s degree in animation at the Royal College of Art in London, she directed several award-winning short films that have screened at over 150 international festivals, including Locarno, Toronto, and Annecy. Her films and paintings have been exhibited by institutions such as the Institut du Monde Arabe and the Musée du Quai Branly. The first Moroccan woman to receive an official professional card as an animation director, she is also the founder of Oneiris Animation, the first auteur animation studio in Morocco.
