About the Author
Davide Crudetti is a writer and director of documentary film and documentary theater, member of ZaLab Film production (zalab.org).Among his latest works for cinema Qui Non c'è niente di Speciale (2022) winner of the XVI Salina Doc Fest and Communists (2022), official selection out of competition at the 40th Festival of Turin. His next feature film Il Grande Buco, produced by ZaLab with AAMOD, is one of the projects funded by the selective grants for development and pre-production 2022 of the Italian Ministry of Culture. Back Home (Romaeuropa Festival '19, Festival delle Colline) and Vita Amore Morte e Rivoluzione (Romaeuropa Festival '22).Since 2016 he is also a trainer for documentary and participatory cinema in important public and private institutions.
Developed Projects
Il Grande Buco" is a creative documentary which, starting from the personal history of the author, will open up to a collective and generational dimension. Interweaving the use of images from private and historical archives with images shot in present time, the film traces a subjective journey within left-wing social movements in Italy, from the 60s until today. The hole between the two rooms of the new house where the two authors live, is the point from which all their thoughts.The choice of having or not having a child becomes the pretext to represent the disorientation of an entire generation (thirty-year-olds today) regarding the future.
