About the Author
Badih Massaad graduated from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in 2005 with a degree in audiovisual arts. Badkon Shi...t? his graduation film participated in several international festivals including the Clermont-Ferrand festival and won the Special Jury Prize at the European Festival in Beirut. Since 2004, Badih has been working as a director and first assistant director on TV spots, music videos and short films. In 2006, he participated in the Berlinale Talent Campus and since 2012, has been teaching directing and editing to students at the ALBA Advertising School. In 2017, he co-directed with Antoine Waked, the documentary Un Certain Nasser (2017) portrait of the pioneer director of Lebanese cinema Georges Nasser (Festival Lumière in Lyon and Cinemed in Montpellier). Since then, he joined the team of MC Distribution and Abbout Productions exploring especially the world of distribution in the Middle East.
Developed Projects
Reef, 27, Lebanese, speaks four languages and works as an interpreter in Beirut. However, she hates this city and even more, this country, where no glimmer of hope appears. Trying in vain to leave her country, Reef decides to find a husband of foreign nationality to finally obtain the passport that will allow her to live in one of the countries she covets so much.
