About the Author
Amit Vaknin, born in 1995 in Tel Aviv, is an Israeli filmmaker. She directed her first film, It's Not Time for Pop, during her studies at Tel Aviv University and is currently working on her second student film. Alongside her creative work, she heads the international student film competition at the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival (TISFF), which brings together emerging filmmakers from around the world. Her short film was screened at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in her career.

In a land where it seems impossible to imagine the future, a journey through inherited traumas and forgotten memories unfolds: Shira, a punk torn between two loves, and her stubborn mother embark on a harrowing quest to repair her grandmother's broken past. As she goes through an unexpected pregnancy, Shira attempts to untangle three generations of family secrets, connecting the memories of Aleppo with the present of Haifa, so that she can finally imagine the future.
