About this Lab

One year of tailored support to develop your screenplay

Launched in 2011, LabMed is Meditalents’ flagship writing residency, dedicated to supporting first or second fiction feature film projects.

Each year, eight authors from across the Mediterranean basin benefit from nearly a year of personalized and intensive guidance. Participants are mentored by established film professionals — screenwriters, producers, and directors — to help them reach a complete treatment or even a full script.

LabMed combines group writing sessions, one-on-one guidance, and regular checkpoints between sessions to ensure continuous progress.
The program is structured around three one-week sessions, allowing each project to evolve step by step throughout the year.
